HEATHER IS A WRITER / DIRECTOR / EDITOR BASED IN LOS ANGELES, CA.   

Heather Holty Newton began as a child actor doing films, modeling, and at the age of 7, was the body double for Heather O'Rourke in Poltergeist III - finishing the movie for her, after O’Rourke had tragically passed.  It was this experience on Poltergeist that set Holty Newton on a filmmaking trajectory.

Heather had a successful collegiate career as a Writer/Director/Editor, under the tutelage of working professionals such as Scott Derricson (Marvel’s Doctor Strange), Howard Kazanjian (Star wars, Raiders of the lost Ark) and many others, winning the Outstanding Filmmaker of the Year award in her film program.  Upon graduating, Heather set out to learn all aspects of the filmmaking process, and the last 20+ years she's had extensive experience as a 1st AC, Camera Operator, 1st AD - she’s worked in the music industry creating visuals and music videos for bands and record labels, and she's worked in Post Production as a Project Manager / DI Producer for Kodak.  Some of her credits include "No Country For Old Men", "For Your Consideration" and “Bourne Ultimatum”.

Heather’s experience in writing, shooting and editing in post - makes her an exceptional filmmaker from conception to delivery.   She’s developed a set of skills that’s set her apart, and has made her a singular and fresh voice in film. 

Heather's photography work has been featured in: People Magazine, Los Angeles Times, Alternative Press, American Songwriter Magazine, and Guitar Girl Magazine.
